Ep 12. Ask Orange 12: Break Dance Lessons

  • 4 min

The Annoying Orange is a television series that features a talking orange named Orange, who annoys other fruits, vegetables, and objects in the kitchen, including his best friend Pear. In season 1 episode 12, titled "Ask Orange 12: Break Dance Lessons," Orange answers viewer questions and teaches them how to breakdance.

The episode starts with Orange sitting on the kitchen counter, surrounded by his friends. He announces that it's time for another segment of "Ask Orange," where he answers questions sent in by his viewers. As he pulls out some letters, a breakdancer appears behind him and starts dancing, which catches the attention of Orange and his friends.

The breakdancer introduces himself as B-Boy Bruce, and he's there to teach everyone how to breakdance. Orange is excited and asks Bruce to show them some moves. Bruce obliges and starts spinning on his head, much to the amazement of Orange and his friends. Orange then tells Bruce to answer some questions while he's dancing, so they can learn more about breakdancing.

The first question asks Bruce how he got into breakdancing. Bruce explains that he saw a breakdance competition when he was a child and was awestruck by the moves he saw. He then started practicing at home and eventually joined a crew. Orange takes this opportunity to remind everyone that practice is key to becoming a good breakdancer, just like anything else in life.

The second question asks Bruce what's the hardest move he's ever done. Bruce explains that the "airflare" is the most difficult move for him. He then proceeds to demonstrate the airflare, which involves spinning in mid-air. Orange's friends are amazed, but Orange is not impressed. He tells Bruce that he can do that too and proceeds to spin on his stem, which turns into a mini-airflare of sorts.

The third question asks Bruce how he stays motivated to practice. Bruce explains that he loves breakdancing and that's what keeps him motivated. He also reminds everyone that it's important to set goals and work towards them. Orange chimes in, saying that it's also important to have fun while practicing, otherwise, it'll feel like a chore.

After answering some more questions, Bruce decides to teach Orange and his friends some breakdancing moves. They start with the basics, such as the "six-step" and the "windmill." Orange and his friends are a bit hesitant at first, but soon get the hang of it. They start practicing together, and Bruce gives them pointers on how to improve.

As they practice, Orange and his friends start getting into the groove. They add their own flair to the moves, and soon they're having a breakdance battle. Bruce acts as the judge, and Orange and his friends take turns showing off their moves. It's a fun and exciting dance-off, and everyone is impressed with each other's skills.

The episode ends with Orange and his friends thanking Bruce for teaching them how to breakdance. They all agree that it was a lot of fun and that they learned a lot. Orange then reminds everyone that it's important to try new things and to never give up. The episode closes with Orange and his friends dancing off into the sunset, ready to learn and try something new again.
