Andy and the folks of Mayberry are getting ready for the annual church fundraiser, or bazaar. Everyone is working hard to make this year's event bigger and better than ever before. Aunt Bee is baking her famous pies, Opie and his friends are practicing their musical act, and Barney is working on his magic show.
However, things don't go as planned when the bazaar is scheduled on the same day as the state football championship game. The town is divided on what to do, as half of the community wants to cancel the bazaar and the other half wants to reschedule the football game.
This creates tension among the town, and Andy must find a solution to keep everyone happy. With the help of his friends, he comes up with a plan that satisfies both sides and allows the bazaar to continue while accommodating the football game.
Meanwhile, Barney has made a deal with a traveling performer to bring in more business to his magic show. However, things go awry when the performer turns out to be a con artist who steals money from the bazaar. Barney, as always, tries to save the day and catch the thief.
Overall, the episode shows the importance of compromise and finding common ground. It also highlights the tight-knit community of Mayberry and the lengths that the characters are willing to go to help each other out.
