Ep 15. Otis Sues the County

Otis Campbell, the town drunk, files a lawsuit against the county claiming that his civil rights have been violated by being kept in jail too long. When the case goes to trial, the whole town is in an uproar as they fear Otis will win the case and bankrupt the county. Andy and Barney are tasked with finding evidence that will prove Otis was not held longer than necessary, but it seems like everything is conspiring against them. As the trial approaches, tensions rise and the fate of the county hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, Aunt Bee fills in as the temporary jailer and learns a thing or two about being a firm, yet compassionate authority figure. Ultimately, the trial takes several interesting turns before a verdict is reached that surprises everyone involved.
