Ep 3. Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army

In The Andy Griffith Show season 4 episode 3 titled "Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army," a new recruit has joined the Mayberry Army. However, this recruit is not like any other soldier. This recruit is none other than Ernest T. Bass, a troublemaker who has caused chaos in Mayberry before.

As Andy and Barney try to figure out a way to control Ernest and give him the discipline he needs, they also try to find a way to help him win over Ramona. However, Ernest's behavior continues to cause trouble and frustration for everyone around him.

Throughout the episode, viewers see the comedic and sometimes frustrating struggles of training a difficult recruit, as well as the difficulties that arise when trying to win someone's heart. The episode ends with an unexpected turn of events that ultimately impacts Ernest and the entire Army.
