Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool are having trouble with a Koopa Wizard named Kooky. Kooky is using his magic wand to make all kinds of trouble for our heroes. He zaps Mario and Luigi and they fly up into the air, unable to come down. Meanwhile, Kooky hatches a plot to steal the seven wands that give the Mushroom Kingdom its power. He manages to steal six of them, and it's up to Mario, Luigi, and Toad to get them back.
In the second part of the episode, the Koopa Kids are at it again, this time trying to capture seven famous landmarks around the world. Each Koopa is assigned a continent, and they set out on their mission. The Bros. follow them and try to stop them, but it's not an easy task. One by one, the Koopas succeed in capturing their targets until only one remains - the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Mario, Luigi and Toad must stop Koopa before he can get his hands on this last landmark.
Up, Up and a Koopa starts with our heroes in a panic, as they're stuck in mid-air with no way down. Kooky, the Koopa Wizard, is causing all sorts of trouble, turning creatures into other creatures and causing general chaos all around. Mario comes up with a plan - they'll use a mountain as a ramp and get enough speed to fly back down to earth. It doesn't go quite as planned and they end up crashing into a snowman.
Kooky has done his work well and has managed to steal six of the seven wands that give the Mushroom Kingdom its power. With those wands in his possession, he has the power to control the world. It's up to Mario, Luigi and Princess Toadstool to get the wands back before it's too late. They head to Kooky's castle but find it heavily guarded. They need a distraction, and Luigi has an idea - he'll dress up as Kooky and cause a scene, allowing the others to sneak in unnoticed.
Their plan works, and they manage to get inside the castle. The Bros. face off against a variety of hazards, from fire-spitting flowers to a room full of giant thorns. Meanwhile, Kooky is getting ready to launch his ultimate attack, combining the six stolen wands to form a powerful weapon. The Bros. manage to get to Kooky in time and engage in a fierce battle. In the end, they come out on top and reclaim the stolen wands.
In 7 Continents for 7 Koopas, we follow the Koopa Kids as they each attempt to capture a famous landmark on their assigned continent. Ludwig, the eldest Koopa, is in charge and assigns each sibling their target. Roy goes after the Great Wall of China, Wendy tries to capture the Sydney Opera House, and Iggy makes a play for the Taj Mahal.
Meanwhile, Mario, Luigi and Toad are hot on their trail, trying to stop them. They manage to foil some of the Koopas' schemes, like when Mario takes over for the Sphinx in Egypt or when Luigi disguises himself as the Pope to throw off Morton. But the Koopas are relentless, and one by one, they manage to capture their targets. Only the Eiffel Tower remains, which is the responsibility of Koopa himself.
Mario and Luigi sneak onto Koopa's airship and attempt to stop him. They face off against Koopas, Goombas, and various traps as they try to shut down Koopa's plan. The fight comes to a head on the Eiffel Tower itself, where the Bros. must battle Koopa one-on-one. In the end, Mario is able to outsmart Koopa, and the landmarks are returned to their rightful places.
