Sir Gawain arrives in the village where Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere are staying, and is shocked to discover the two of them together.
Sir Gawain immediately returns to Camelot and tells King Arthur what he has seen. King Arthur is outraged by the news, and banishes Sir Lancelot from Camelot for betraying his trust and potentially pursuing an inappropriate relationship with the Queen. Sir Lancelot is devastated by the news, and swears to clear his name and prove his loyalty to King Arthur.
