Ep 15. Paddington Opens the City Farm

Paddington Opens the City Farm is the fifteenth episode of the second season of the beloved animated show, The Adventures of Paddington. In this episode, Paddington and the Brown family visit a city farm. It's Paddington's first time at a farm, and he's excited to see all the animals.
As they arrive at the farm, Paddington is instantly drawn to the cows. He's never seen such big, beautiful creatures before and can't wait to get up close and personal. Mr. Gruber informs him that the cows are very friendly, and Paddington eagerly approaches them. He's thrilled when they come right up to him and even lets one of them lick his hand.
Next, the group heads over to the chicken coop, where Paddington marvels at the different breeds of chickens. He's particularly taken with a rooster with bright red feathers, who he thinks looks quite dashing. When Mrs. Bird suggests they move on to the pigs, Paddington is a bit hesitant. He's never been a big fan of pigs, and the thought of getting too close to them makes him a little nervous. However, Mrs. Bird assures him that they're the friendliest pigs you'll ever meet.
As they approach the pigpen, Paddington can't help but let out a small squeal. The pigs are much bigger than he imagined, and they make quite a bit of noise. However, Mrs. Bird was right – they're incredibly friendly and seem to enjoy all the attention they're getting from Paddington and the rest of the group. Paddington even manages to make friends with a little piglet who follows him around the pen, playfully nipping at his shoelaces.
After spending some time with the animals, Paddington suggests that they have a picnic lunch. Mrs. Bird has brought a beautiful spread of sandwiches, fruits, and cookies, and the family sits down to enjoy a delicious meal in the sunshine. Paddington is particularly pleased with the strawberry jam sandwiches and manages to eat three before anyone else can grab one.
After lunch, Paddington decides to explore the farm a little more. He wanders over to the vegetable garden and is amazed by the size of the pumpkins growing there. He's always loved pumpkin pie and can't wait to try making one himself. Mrs. Bird tells him that they'll need to wait until the fall when the pumpkins are ripe, but Paddington is already planning out his recipe in his head.
As the day starts to wind down, Paddington realizes that he's learned so much about farming and hopes to visit more farms in the future. He's grateful to Mrs. Bird and Mr. Gruber for taking him on this adventure and can't wait to tell his Aunt Lucy all about it when he gets home.
