Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids is an animated series that follows the adventures of a group of teenagers known as the Junkyard Gang. The gang is led by a friendly, overweight boy named Fat Albert, who is always eager to help out his friends and those in need. The show, which ran from 1972 to 1985, was created by comedian Bill Cosby and was known for its positive messages and educational content.

Episode 17, titled "The Prankster," begins with the gang hanging out in the junkyard, playing games and having fun. Their fun is interrupted, however, by the arrival of a new kid in town named Rudy. Rudy claims to have just moved in next door to the junkyard and is eager to make new friends. Despite some initial skepticism from the gang, Rudy quickly wins them over with his smooth talking and funny jokes.

As the gang gets to know Rudy better, they begin to notice that he has a mischievous streak. He's always playing pranks and making jokes at other people's expense. At first, the gang thinks it's all in good fun, but as the pranks become more elaborate and mean-spirited, they begin to have their doubts.

Fat Albert is particularly concerned about Rudy's behavior and decides to talk to him about it. He pulls Rudy aside and tells him that while they like him as a friend, they don't appreciate his pranks and jokes that hurt other people's feelings. Rudy seems to take the advice to heart and promises to try to be better.

However, the next day, Rudy's behavior takes a turn for the worse. He starts playing even more elaborate pranks, including one that results in a dangerous situation for one of the gang members. The gang is fed up and decides that they need to confront Rudy about his behavior once and for all.

In a tense confrontation, the gang tells Rudy that they can't be friends with someone who treats others so poorly. Rudy becomes defensive and claims that he's just trying to have fun. However, he eventually realizes that his behavior has gone too far and apologizes to the gang.

In the end, Rudy learns an important lesson about the impact his actions can have on others and vows to try to be a better friend in the future. The gang forgives him and they all continue to play and have fun in the junkyard, but with a newfound understanding of the importance of treating others with kindness and respect.
