Ep 1. The Drug Store

The Abbott & Costello Show season 1 episode 1 is named "The Drug Store" and takes place in a pharmacy where the two comedians, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, work as soda jerks. The duo gets into numerous comedic situations as they try to fulfill the various requests of the eccentric and often confused customers.

Throughout the episode, Abbott and Costello's boss, played by Joe Kirk, is constantly coming in and out of the drug store to check on the duo. He is often frustrated by their mistakes, but also amused by their antics. In one scene, Abbott and Costello are tasked with filling out a form for a customer, but they struggle to understand the customer's handwriting and continue to argue over how to correctly spell his name.

In another scene, a customer comes in to buy a present for his wife, but he can't decide on a gift. Costello offers to show him various items in the store, but he accidentally breaks a vase while demonstrating a product. The customer becomes increasingly frustrated, leading to a humorous argument between the two.

In addition to the constant stream of customers, Abbott and Costello also have to deal with a mouse that has been running around the store. The duo try various methods to catch the mouse, but their attempts are unsuccessful and often lead to further chaos.
