In the season 2 premiere of The 4400, titled "Wake-Up Call (1)," we are reintroduced to the mysterious group of people who have been missing for decades and have suddenly returned with superhuman abilities. As the city of Seattle reels in the aftermath of a terrorist attack, we see the impact that the return of the 4400 is having on society and individuals.

Tom Baldwin, an agent with the National Threat Assessment Command, is tasked with investigating the terrorist attack when he discovers a new lead in the case: the involvement of one of the 4400, a woman named Tess Doerner who has the ability to see the future. As Tom and his partner Diana Skouris dig deeper into the investigation, they begin to unravel a conspiracy that involves the government and the 4400.

Meanwhile, we check in with several of the returning 4400. Kyle Baldwin, Tom's nephew who was abducted as a child and returned with the ability to heal people, is struggling with his newfound powers. He is haunted by memories of his time with the 4400 and is grappling with the responsibility of being a healer.

Shawn Farrell, another 4400 who has the ability to control the emotions of others, is dealing with the aftermath of a confrontation with the government. He's also struggling with his love for Isabelle Tyler, a dangerous 4400 with the ability to manipulate people's minds. Isabelle is still missing after the season 1 finale, and her absence weighs heavily on Shawn.

Elsewhere, Richard Tyler, Isabelle's father and the leader of the 4400, is grappling with his own personal demons. He is plagued by visions of a young girl who he believes is important to the future of the 4400, but he doesn't know who she is or what her role will be.

As the episode progresses, we are introduced to new 4400 who have returned with unique abilities. Maia Rutledge is a young girl who can see the future, and her visions are causing her distress. Dennis Ryland, the head of NTAC, is introduced to a man named Jordan Collier, who was abducted in the year 2000 and returned with the ability to influence people's thoughts and emotions.

The season 2 premiere of The 4400 sets the stage for a season that promises to be even more thrilling and emotional than the first. As the 4400 continue to adapt to life back on earth, they face new challenges and threats. Meanwhile, Tom and Diana must navigate the murky waters of government conspiracy and figure out who they can trust.

"Wake-Up Call (1)" is a strong start to the second season of The 4400 and leaves viewers eager to see what's in store for these fascinating characters.
