In the fourth episode of the first season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, titled "In the Kingdom of the Dwarves," Rimuru and his companions head towards the Dwarf kingdom of Dwargon. The group consists of Rimuru, Veldora (Rimuru's dragon friend), and Gobta (one of Rimuru's goblin subordinates). They are on a mission to form an alliance with the Dwarves, who are known for their exceptional craftsmanship and rich resources.
Upon arriving in Dwargon, Rimuru and his team are greeted with hostility. The Dwarves are known for their distrust of outsiders and are not willing to make friends easily. It soon becomes clear that the Dwarves are not interested in joining any alliance. Their leader, the king, believes that his people are strong enough to survive on their own. Rimuru is disappointed but not discouraged. He decides to explore the city of the Dwarves and look for the source of their vast wealth.
During his exploration, Rimuru meets a Dwarf who is willing to talk to him about the kingdom's history. The Dwarf reveals that the Dwarves have been mining an ore called Mithril for centuries. Mithril is known for its durability and strength, which makes it highly sought after by blacksmiths and weapon makers. The Dwarf also tells Rimuru that the only way to get the Dwarves to agree to an alliance is to offer them something that they cannot refuse.
Rimuru takes this advice and decides to use his unique abilities to create something valuable for the Dwarves. He creates a magical item that enhances the properties of Mithril and makes it even stronger. He presents this gift to the king, who is impressed by Rimuru's ingenuity and skill. The king agrees to form an alliance with Rimuru and his friends.
As a token of their newly formed friendship, the Dwarves invite Rimuru and his team to a feast. During the feast, Rimuru is introduced to a Dwarf named Garmadon, who is a master blacksmith. Garmadon is intrigued by Rimuru's abilities and offers to teach him the art of blacksmithing. Rimuru happily accepts this offer and begins to learn from Garmadon.
The episode ends with Rimuru and his team leaving Dwargon, now with a new ally and a new skill. Rimuru reflects on his experiences and is grateful for the new friendships he has formed.
