Eric returns home from Africa, where he had been living for the past several months. He's happy to be back in Point Place, and everyone is happy to have him back, but it doesn't take long for him to realize that he may have missed out on some things while he was away.
The gang is planning to head to a concert, but the tickets are pretty pricey. Eric, who is still figuring out his finances after living abroad for a while, has to decide if he's going to take the expensive trip with his friends or stay behind. This decision becomes even more complicated when he realizes that Donna is planning to go on the trip, but without him.
Meanwhile, Red is dealing with some post-retirement blues. He's struggling to find things to do now that he's not working every day. His boredom leads him to try some new hobbies, but they all fail miserably.
Kelso, who is now working as a security guard, is trying to impress his new boss. He's determined to catch some criminals, but ends up making some hilarious mistakes in the process.
Jackie and Hyde are dealing with some relationship issues. Hyde is annoyed with Jackie's constant nagging, and Jackie is frustrated that Hyde doesn't seem to care about anything. They both try to address these problems, but it's unclear if they will be able to work things out.
In the end, everyone has to make some tough decisions. Eric has to decide if he's going to fork over the money for the concert, or pass on the opportunity. Red has to figure out how to fill his time now that he's not working, and Kelso has to decide how far he's willing to go to get the approval of his boss. Jackie and Hyde have to decide if they can work through their problems, or if they're better off apart.
Overall, "Take It Or Leave It" is a classic episode of That 70's Show, with all of the humor, heart, and nostalgia that fans love about the series. It's a must-watch for anyone who has followed the gang's antics throughout the years.
