Raven Baxter is a typical teenager with a not-so-typical ability- she can see into the future. Living with her parents and younger brother Cory in San Francisco, Raven has a close group of friends and dreams of becoming a fashion designer. However, her visions often lead her into funny and chaotic situations.
In "Separation Anxiety," the season 1 episode 20 of That's So Raven, Raven's parents announce that they are going out of town for the weekend and leaving her in charge of the house. While Raven is excited to have some independence, she soon becomes overwhelmed by the responsibilities of taking care of the house and her younger brother. Cory, who is always up to mischief, begins to take advantage of the situation and disobeys Raven's rules, leading to a series of mishaps.
Meanwhile, Raven has a vision of a burglar breaking into the house. She becomes paranoid and creates an elaborate security system to protect their home. However, her security measures end up causing more problems than they solve. On top of that, Raven's best friend Chelsea is going through a tough time and needs Raven's support, but Raven has her hands full with the house and Cory.
As the weekend continues, Raven becomes more and more stressed, and her visions become increasingly chaotic. She sees a goat in the living room, a giant chicken in the kitchen, and even a baby elephant in the backyard. Raven's stress reaches a breaking point when she discovers that Cory has let Chelsea's pet hamster escape.
Raven enlists the help of her other best friend, Eddie, to find the hamster before Chelsea finds out. Their search leads them on a wild chase through the city, and they eventually find the hamster in a tree. Raven is relieved and decides to let Cory off the hook for his misbehavior.
In the end, Raven learns a valuable lesson about responsibility and the importance of accepting help from others. She also realizes that she can rely on her friends to help her through tough times. As the episode comes to a close, Raven's parents return home and are surprised to find that everything is in order. Raven happily recounts her weekend adventure, and the family shares a laugh over the silly situations that occurred while they were away.
