The British stand up comedian and TV personality Julian Clary stars in this sitcom as a fictionalized version of himself taking his on screen persona to the extreme. Julian replies to Terry's advertisement asking for a lodger and begins causing problems for straight laced Terry almost as soon as he moves in. Not only does Julian redecorate the home without asking, his flamboyant lifestyle quickly begins to cause problems in the relationship between Terry and equally straight laced girlfriend Rene.
