Tenjho Tenge season 1 episode 1 ‘Sacred Area’ introduces us to the story of the Juken Club and their fight to establish dominance in Todo Academy. The episode begins with two students, Bob and Masataka, walking around campus and discussing the various martial arts clubs before running into the Juken Club. We then meet Nagi and Maya, the two leaders of the Juken Club, and discover that they are brother and sister.

They witness a member of the Amatatsu Club, a rival martial arts club, being brutally attacked by members of the Enforcers, a group of students that help the Student Council enforce their rules.
The episode concludes with Nagi and Maya confronting the Student Council about the attack in the Sacred Area and demanding that they be allowed to use the area for their own matches. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as we wait to see how the Student Council will respond to the Juken Club’s challenge.
Overall, Tenjho Tenge season 1 episode 1 ‘Sacred Area’ does an excellent job of setting up the premise of the series and introducing us to the main characters. The fight scenes are well choreographed and the animation is top-notch. The character designs are unique and memorable, making it easy to tell the different members of each club apart from one another.
One thing to note about this series is that it does contain some fan service and graphic violence. While it may not be suitable for all audiences, it does add to the overall aesthetic of the series and helps to establish the tone of the show.
