Ep 1. Once I Had a Love

Mary is shown visiting a private investigator, Edward, who has been hired by Mary's husband to find their daughter's body. Edward tells Mary that he has a lead on a suspect who was arrested for a similar crime in a neighboring town. Mary is skeptical but agrees to meet the suspect, a man named Kit Parker.

As the episode progresses, we learn more about Emma's past and how she was involved with Kit Parker. We also see John struggling to stay on the straight and narrow and resist his criminal past. Mary meets with Kit Parker and is horrified to find out that he is not only the man who killed Theresa, but he also knows Emma and has been communicating with her.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats. Emma receives a package in the mail with a note from Kit, and we see Mary confront him, demanding to know where her daughter's body is. The tension and drama throughout the episode make for a thrilling and addictive first episode - leaving viewers eager to watch the rest of the season.
