Ep 1. Pilot

In the first episode of Tell Me a Story season 1, titled "Pilot," we are introduced to a modern-day retelling of three classic fairy tales woven together in a gripping, dark, and thrilling story.

Set in New York City, we are first introduced to Kayla Powell, a young woman struggling to make ends meet in the wake of her mother's untimely death. As she navigates the harsh realities of her life, including her strained relationship with her father and his new wife, Kayla unknowingly becomes tangled up in a dangerous underworld of drugs and violence.

At the same time, we meet Jordan Evans, a brooding and intense boxer who is haunted by the tragic death of his younger brother years earlier. Struggling to come to terms with his own grief, Jordan turns to aggression and violence both in and out of the ring, constantly pushing those around him away.

Finally, we are introduced to Hannah Perez, an up-and-coming restaurateur who takes over her late grandmother's business in the heart of the city. As she deals with the everyday challenges of running a restaurant, Hannah is also grappling with the aftermath of a recent breakup and trying to find her place in the world.

As the episode unfolds, we see how the lives of these three characters become more and more intertwined, ultimately leading them down a path of danger and darkness. With nods to classic fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and Hansel and Gretel, Tell Me a Story season 1 episode 1 sets the stage for a thrilling, unpredictable journey that is impossible to turn away from.

With a talented cast, gorgeous cinematography, and a storyline that is equal parts dark and enchanting, "Pilot" sets the bar high for what is sure to be a must-watch season of television.
