Ep 1. TekWar, Part 1

Upon being released, he finds that his old life has completely changed. His wife has left him, his son is living with his mother, and he is unable to find a job due to his criminal record.

Desperate for money, Jake takes on a job as a private investigator, working for the mysterious Walter Bascom (played by William Shatner). Bascom hires Jake to track down a missing scientist who has been working on a new, more potent form of tek.

As Jake begins to investigate, he encounters a number of obstacles, including corrupt cops, dangerous gangs, and even a new form of tek that allows users to experience other people's memories. With the help of his tech-savvy sidekick Sid Gomez (played by Eugene Clark), Jake navigates his way through this dangerous world in an attempt to find the missing scientist and stop the spread of this deadly new drug.

Throughout the episode, viewers are introduced to the world of tek and the dangerous consequences it has on users. They are also given a glimpse into the complex and interconnected world of crime and corruption in this futuristic society.
