The Rich Kids is the fourth episode of the second season of Tehran, an Israeli spy thriller series. The episode continues the story of Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent of Iranian descent who is on a mission in Tehran, the capital city of Iran.
In this episode, Tamar is having a difficult time adjusting to her new life in Tehran as a spy. She is still haunted by the events of the previous episode, in which she narrowly escaped from the clutches of the Iranian authorities. Tamar is also concerned about her mother, who is under house arrest in Israel.
Despite these challenges, Tamar must continue her mission to sabotage Iran's nuclear program. In this episode, she is tasked with infiltrating a group of wealthy Iranian students who have been recruited by the Iranian government to work on their nuclear program. The students, who come from affluent families, are studying abroad in Europe and have been handpicked for their intelligence and skill.
Tamar's job is to get close to these students and find out what they know about Iran's nuclear program. She does this by posing as a wealthy Iranian student who is studying at the same university as the group. Tamar befriends a young man named Amir, who is one of the students in the group. She convinces him that she is from a wealthy family in Iran and is interested in joining the group.
As Tamar gets to know the students, she realizes that they are not what she expected. Although they come from rich families, they are unhappy with their lives in Iran. They feel trapped by the expectations placed on them by their parents and society, and they do not agree with the government's policies.
Tamar sees an opportunity to use the students to her advantage. She proposes a plan to Amir to help him and his fellow students defect to Europe. They initially resist the idea, but Tamar is able to persuade them by revealing her true identity as a Mossad agent.
Tamar and the students hatch a plan to escape Iran. They create a diversion to distract the Iranian authorities and sneak out of the country. The plan is risky, and they know that they could be caught at any moment.
As they attempt to leave Iran, Tamar's past catches up with her. She is recognized by a member of the Basij, a paramilitary group in Iran. Tamar and the students are forced to flee, and a game of cat and mouse ensues as they try to evade the Basij and make it to safety.
The Rich Kids is a tense and suspenseful episode that highlights the complexities of espionage and the human toll it takes on those involved. It also explores the themes of class, identity, and patriotism. The episode ends on a cliffhanger that leaves the audience wondering what will happen next and how Tamar will continue her mission.
