Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee is a Japanese anime series produced by TV Tokyo. The show is based on the manga of the same name by Hiroyuki Asada. The show premiered in Japan in 2009 and consists of two seasons. The series follows the journey of a young boy named Lag Seeing, who dreams of becoming a Letter Bee. The anime is a twist of adventure, fantasy, and mystery.

The story takes place in a world called Amberground, a land with eternal night, inhabited by large insects called Gaichuu. The only way for humans to travel from one city to another is through the Bee Hive which controls a postal system for delivering letters by the Letter Bees.

The Letter Bees are a special group of individuals chosen by the government and given special powers to deliver letters across Amberground. Lag Seeing, the protagonist of the show, is a young boy who longs to become a Letter Bee to follow in the footsteps of his childhood hero Gauche Suede, a letter bee who saved his life and left a lasting impression.

Lag gets his chance to become a Letter Bee after meeting the current Bee, an enigmatic girl named Niche. Niche is a "mylee" or "dingo," which is a creature who acts as a partner and protector to Letter Bees. Together, the two embark on a journey to become Letter Bees and deliver letters that hold the key to the happiness of people they encounter on their travels.

The show is filled with interesting characters such as Valentine Soot, the head of the Bee Hive and Aria Link, a Letter Bee who is Lag's mentor. The antagonists of the series are the Reverse, a group of rebels who seek to overthrow the government and the Bee Hive.

The first season of Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee focuses on Lag's journey through the world of Amberground as he becomes stronger and develops his skills as a Letter Bee. Along the way, he meets a wide range of people who each have their own story to tell.

The second season of the anime takes place five years after the events of the first season. Lag is now a fully-fledged Letter Bee and has been tasked with delivering the most important letter of his career by Valentine Soot himself. The letter is addressed to a man known only as "the One Who Lingers in the Darkness," and Lag is tasked with delivering it to him in order to prevent disaster.

Throughout the second season, Lag must deal with the betrayal of people he once trusted, including his mentor Aria Link. He also uncovers secrets that have long been kept hidden and confronts the Reverse once and for all.

The animation of Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee is impressive and includes a mix of both 2D and 3D animation. The character designs are unique and the backgrounds are beautifully rendered, giving the show a distinct visual style.

The voice acting in the anime is excellent and helps to bring the characters to life. Ayumi Fujimura, who voices Lag, does an outstanding job of portraying the emotions of the character, while Miyuki Sawashiro's portrayal of Niche perfectly captures the character's quirky personality.

Overall, Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee is a fantastic anime that combines adventure, fantasy, and mystery in a unique and entertaining way. The characters are well developed, the story is engaging, and the animation is top-notch.
