The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in action in season 9 of their popular animated series. In episode 3, titled "The Wrath of Medusa," the turtles face off against a new foe named Medusa, who has the power to turn anyone who looks into her eyes into stone.
The episode begins with the turtles relaxing at home when April O'Neil arrives with some alarming news. She tells them that she's been investigating a string of robberies at various museums and galleries across the city, all of which have been committed by a group of thieves who wear special visors to protect themselves from something dangerous. April suspects that the thieves are working for someone, but she doesn't know who.
The turtles decide to investigate, and they soon discover that the person behind the thefts is none other than Medusa. She's been using her powers to turn the guards and security cameras at each location into stone, making it easy for her and her henchmen to steal priceless artifacts.
The turtles quickly realize that they're no match for Medusa's powers on their own. They try to come up with a plan to stop her, but before they can, they're all turned to stone by Medusa's gaze.
Luckily, April arrives just in time to witness this, and she manages to dodge Medusa's gaze and escape. With the help of her new friend Zak, a street magician, she's able to track down a scientist who has developed a special potion that can reverse the effects of Medusa's powers.
Meanwhile, the turtles find themselves trapped in a world of stone. They're unable to move or speak, but they can still hear and see everything that's going on around them. They watch as Medusa and her henchmen continue to steal from museums and galleries across the city.
April and Zak eventually find the science lab where the potion is being made, but it's heavily guarded by Medusa's henchmen. They manage to sneak in and steal the potion, but they're eventually caught and forced to fight their way out.
Back in the museum, the turtles are still frozen in stone, but they're able to communicate with each other through psychic abilities. They come up with a plan to distract Medusa and her henchmen long enough for April to administer the potion.
With the help of Zak's magic, they're able to create a diversion, and April is able to successfully administer the potion to Medusa, turning her back into a human. With Medusa's powers gone, the turtles and everyone else who was turned to stone are finally restored back to normal.
The episode ends with Medusa being taken into custody, and the turtles breathing a sigh of relief that everything is back to the way it was before. Once again, they've saved the day and proven that they're the ultimate heroes of New York City.
