Ep 2. Wrath of the Rat King

In the second episode of the eighth season of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987)," titled "Wrath of the Rat King," the Rat King is back and up to his old tricks. The villainous rodent is gathering an army of rats to take over the city, and it's up to the Turtles to stop him.

The episode begins with the Turtles hanging out at home, trying to figure out what to do for the day. Suddenly, their peace is interrupted by the Rat King, who has somehow managed to infiltrate their lair undetected. He tells them that he has come to make them an offer: join him in his conquest of the city, and they will be spared his wrath. Of course, the Turtles refuse, and a fight breaks out.

The Rat King proves to be a formidable opponent, using his control over the city's rat population to his advantage. He sends wave after wave of rats to attack the Turtles, but they manage to fend them off. Eventually, the Rat King retreats, promising to return with a bigger and better army.

The Turtles realize that they need to stop the Rat King before he can carry out his plan. They split up and head out into the city to track him down. Michelangelo runs into a group of street kids who are being menaced by a gang of rats, and he quickly jumps into action. He manages to fight off the rats and save the kids, but he realizes that they are all homeless and starving. He vows to do something to help them.

Meanwhile, Donatello and Leonardo team up to try to uncover the Rat King's plan. They head to the docks, where they know the Rat King has been gathering supplies. With some clever detective work, they manage to figure out what he's up to: he's planning on using the city's sewer system to flood the streets with rats, effectively taking over the city.

Back at the lair, Raphael is feeling down and out. He's been injured in the fight with the Rat King, and he's starting to doubt their ability to stop him. But Master Splinter reminds him that they have each other, and that together they can do anything.

The Turtles head back out into the city to try to stop the Rat King. They split up again, with Michelangelo heading to a local soup kitchen to ask for food donations for the homeless kids he met earlier. Donatello and Leonardo head to the sewer system to try to stop the Rat King's plan.

They manage to find the Rat King's lair, and they are shocked to see the size of his rat army. But they don't give up. They launch into a fierce battle with the Rat King and his minions, and although they take some hits, they ultimately emerge victorious.

With the Rat King defeated, the Turtles head back to the lair, exhausted but triumphant. They know that there will be other villains to face and other battles to fight, but for now, they can rest easy knowing that they saved the city from the wrath of the Rat King.
