The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) season 3 episode 21 titled "Green with Jealousy" starts with the turtles watching April's news report on the Heist of the Century where scientists have worked together to create a special compound that can turn anything it touches into pure gold. While the turtles are discussing the news report, Irma enters and tells the turtles that April has a new boyfriend named Guy Graham who is the lead scientist on the project.
The Turtles become very surprised and excited about April having a boyfriend and try to imagine who this Guy Graham could be. Meanwhile, a group of criminals have been spying on Guy and discover his involvement in the creation of the gold compound. The group decides to kidnap him and force him to work for them, so they can steal the compound and make themselves rich.
When the turtles find out about Guy's kidnapping, they immediately go to April's apartment to tell her about it. April then reveals that she was going to go on a date with Guy that night and worries about what happened to him. After hearing about their close connection, the turtles become worried that Guy may be using April to get closer to the gold compound.
As the turtles follow the criminals' trail, they find out that Guy is being held captive in a nearby factory. They then make their way inside and discover the group threatening Guy with harm if he does not create the compound. After a brief scuffle, the turtles manage to save Guy and escape the factory.
Guy reveals that he was not involved in creating the compound for the criminals, but for a group of scientists who wanted to test it for medicinal purposes. April becomes irate with the turtles for thinking such a thing, and Mikey becomes jealous of her affection towards Guy.
In the end, Guy is reunited with his fellow scientists and the compound is fully developed, leading to many helpful medical treatments. The turtles apologize for thinking the worst of Guy and April, and Mikey learns that being jealous is not a productive emotion.
"Green with Jealousy" is a lesson about trusting the people you care about and not letting jealousy get in the way of your better judgement. The episode also shows the turtles working together to save someone they care about, while reminding us of the importance of scientific progress and its potential to help people in need.
