Scott, Stiles, and the rest of the gang are back for another season of Teen Wolf. In season 4 episode 1, titled The Dark Moon, we find our heroes facing an entirely new set of challenges. With the loss of their alpha, Derek Hale, the pack must come to terms with their new roles as protectors of Beacon Hills.
The season opens with Scott and Stiles on a mission to find the missing member of the pack, Derek Hale. They head out to a secluded area of the woods where they think he might be, but all they find is a strange, glowing tree. Suddenly, Scott is hit with a wave of pain and collapses on the ground. Stiles tries to help him, but something is clearly wrong.
Meanwhile, the rest of the pack is dealing with their own issues. Kira, still trying to understand her powers as a kitsune, turns to Scott's mother, Melissa, for guidance. Lydia, mourning the loss of Allison, is struggling to come to terms with her own supernatural abilities and the role she plays in the pack. And newcomer Liam, a troubled teen with anger management issues, is trying to fit in with Scott and the gang while also keeping his own secrets hidden.
As the day goes on, Scott's pain becomes worse and he realizes that he's experiencing a rare and dangerous phenomenon known as the "dark moon." During this time, a werewolf's powers are weakened, leaving them vulnerable to attack. Scott tries to hide his condition from the pack, but soon enough they figure it out. They rally together to protect him and the town of Beacon Hills from the dangers that lurk in the darkness.
Meanwhile, a mysterious group of assassins has arrived in Beacon Hills. They're hunting down the supernatural beings that call the town home, and they're not afraid to do whatever it takes to get the job done. The pack quickly realizes that they're in danger and must work together to stop the assassins before it's too late.
The episode ends with Scott and the pack still reeling from the events of the day. They're all on edge, wondering what other dangers are lurking in the shadows. And as the dark moon fades and their powers return, they know that they must be ready for whatever comes next.
Overall, The Dark Moon serves as a strong start to season 4 of Teen Wolf. It's a tense and suspenseful episode that sets the stage for the rest of the season. With new villains, new challenges, and a new member of the pack, fans are sure to be hooked from the very beginning.
