In Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1 titled "Tattoo," Scott, Stiles, and Allison are starting their junior year at Beacon Hills High School. Scott's mother, Melissa, has been promoted to head nurse at the hospital, and Stiles' father, Sheriff Stilinski, is still struggling to come to terms with the events of season 2.
The episode starts with a flashback to 24 hours earlier, where we see Isaac being tortured by two unidentified men, who are attempting to extract information about Derek's whereabouts. Isaac refuses to speak, but we later learn that he has been branded with a strange tattoo as a result of the torture.
Back in present day, Scott and Allison are discussing their future plans now that they are juniors. Allison is set on attending college out of state, while Scott is hesitant to leave his mother behind. Stiles interrupts their conversation with news about a strange murder case that the Sheriff's department is investigating.
The trio decides to investigate on their own, and they soon discover that the murder victim had the same tattoo that Isaac has on his back. The tattoo leads them to a strange underground club, where they encounter an enigmatic woman named Kali, who seems to know more about the tattoo and the murder than she's letting on.
Meanwhile, Derek is also on the trail of the tattooed men who tortured Isaac. He enlists the help of a mysterious woman named Cora, who appears to have a personal vendetta against the tattooed men. Derek and Cora's investigation leads them to a tattoo parlor, where they discover that the tattoo is a symbol used by a dangerous pack of werewolves.
The episode ends with Derek and Cora being confronted by the tattooed men, while Scott, Allison, and Stiles find themselves in the middle of a dangerous confrontation at the underground club.
Overall, "Tattoo" is a thrilling episode that sets the stage for the rest of the season. The introduction of new characters and the exploration of the tattoo's significance add depth to the show's mythology, while the tense action sequences keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
