The episode opens up with Jim Hardie, who is a veteran lawman and top agent for the Wells Fargo Company, assigned to investigate a series of robberies in the area. Upon arriving in Red Hand, Wyoming, Jim discovers that the crooks behind the robberies are a notorious gang of outlaws led by a ruthless criminal named Leon Carr. The gang has been terrorizing the town and its people for quite some time, and Jim is determined to put an end to their criminal activities once and for all.
As Jim gets acquainted with the locals, he meets a young man named Billy, who is the son of a local rancher. Billy tells Jim that he and his father have been targeted by the Carr gang and that they desperately need help. Jim sympathizes with the young man and decides to do everything in his power to help him and his family.
Jim soon finds out that the Carr gang is planning to ambush a Wells Fargo wagon that's loaded with valuable goods. With the help of Billy and his family, Jim is able to prevent the ambush and recover the stolen goods. However, Jim knows that this is only a temporary victory, as the Carr gang is still out there and is likely to strike again.
As Jim continues his investigation, he discovers that the Carr gang is planning to raid the local army supply depot and steal a shipment of rifles. With the help of the local sheriff and a few trusted allies, Jim sets out to stop the Carr gang from getting their hands on the rifles. A tense showdown ensues, and Jim is forced to use all of his skills and expertise to overcome the Carr gang.
After a fierce battle, Jim is able to apprehend Leon Carr and his cohorts and bring them to justice. With the Carr gang behind bars, peace is restored to Red Hand, and the people of the town can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
In the end, Jim bids farewell to Billy and his family and heads back to his office at Wells Fargo. As he reflects on his latest adventure, he knows that there will always be another case to solve and another criminal to catch, but for now, he's content with the knowledge that he's made a difference in the lives of the people he's come to know and care for.
