Tales of the City: 20th Anniversary Edition is a Netflix original series set in San Francisco. This limited series follows the stories of several residents of the eccentric Barbary Lane apartment complex, each with their own unique story to tell.

Soon, she is joined by Michael Tolliver (Marcus D'Amico), one of the few people who truly understands her. They share a tender moment and Mona begins to feel a sense of calm.

Elsewhere, Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis) is dealing with her own personal drama. She receives a threatening letter from an unknown source, which causes her great alarm. She confides in Edgar Halcyon (Donald Moffat), who promises to protect her. But when Edgar has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital, Anna is left feeling vulnerable.

The episode comes to a climax as Mary Ann takes DeDe to lunch in an attempt to make amends. However, things take a turn for the worse when DeDe reveals a shocking secret that will change everything. Mary Ann is left reeling from the revelation and rushes back to Barbary Lane to confide in her friend, Mouse (Paul Gross). Mouse offers his support and tells Mary Ann that everything will be alright.

Overall, episode 5 of Tales of the City is a powerful and emotional installment in this gripping series. The characters continue to evolve and the storyline is expertly crafted to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat.
