Taggart is a British detective television series that follows the investigations of a team of detectives led by the titular character Det. Chief Inspector Jim Taggart, played by Mark McManus. The show is set in the city of Glasgow and has been on the air since 1983. Season 7 Episode 2 is called "Nest Of Vipers".
In "Nest Of Vipers," the Taggart team investigates the murders of two men who were both found in the same spot in a local park. The murders appear to be unrelated at first, but as the detectives dig deeper into the case, they soon realize that the two victims had some things in common. Both men were involved in the local business community, and both had reputations for being somewhat shady.
As the team delves further into the investigation, they begin to uncover a web of corruption and deceit that extends far beyond the park murders. Suspects pile up as the detectives find connections between the victims and other prominent people in the city, including a wealthy businessman, a crooked lawyer, and a scheming politician. With so many potential suspects and motives, the detectives must work quickly before the killer strikes again.
Meanwhile, Taggart has his own problems to deal with. He's struggling to come to terms with the recent death of his wife, and his grief is affecting his work and his relationships with his colleagues. His second-in-command, Mike Jardine, played by James MacPherson, grows increasingly concerned as Taggart becomes more and more withdrawn.
As the investigation heats up and the stakes get higher, the Taggart team must fight to solve the case before more innocent lives are lost. With plenty of twists and turns, "Nest Of Vipers" is an exciting and suspenseful episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
