Ep 5. Boy Story

Sydney to the Max is a family television sitcom focusing on the stories of a preteen named Sydney Reynolds and her relationship with her father Max and grandmother Judy. In season 3 episode 5, titled "Boy Story," Sydney and her best friends Olive and Sophia find themselves in a bit of a pickle when they realize they all have a crush on the same boy.

Sydney goes to her grandmother, Judy, for advice, and Judy tells her to be honest with her friends and to let them know how she feels. Sydney takes this advice and opens up to Olive and Sophia, telling them how much she values their friendship and that she doesn't want it to be ruined over a boy.

The girls come up with a plan to split their time with Riley evenly, with each of them having a turn to hang out with him one-on-one. However, things don't go quite as planned when Riley gets sick and cancels their plans. Sydney takes it upon herself to take care of him, bringing him soup and comics to read. When Olive and Sophia find out what Sydney has done, they feel guilty for being upset with her and join her in taking care of Riley.

In the end, the girls realize that their friendship is more important than any boy and that they can all crush on Riley without it causing any drama between them. Max also learns a valuable lesson about not letting his insecurities get in the way of his relationships.
