In Sword Art Online season 2 episode 5 "Guns and Swords," the main character Kirito has entered a new game called Gun Gale Online where players use guns instead of swords to battle each other. Kirito has been brought into the game to investigate a mysterious player, known as Death Gun, who has the ability to kill players in the game and in real life.
As Kirito begins his investigation, he meets a new player named Sinon who helps him learn the ropes of the game. Sinon is a skilled sniper and teaches Kirito how to use a gun effectively. However, Kirito comes to realize that the game is not all fun and games as he experiences PTSD from his previous experiences in Sword Art Online.
Meanwhile, Kirito's friend Asuna is concerned about his well-being and decides to seek help from a professional counselor at her school. Asuna shares her concerns about Kirito with the counselor and learns more about PTSD and how it can affect a person's mental health.
Back in Gun Gale Online, Kirito and Sinon continue their investigation of Death Gun and come across a tournament where the winner will earn the chance to face off against Death Gun. Kirito decides to enter the tournament and with Sinon's help, he manages to make it to the finals.
In the final battle, Kirito faces off against the top player in Gun Gale Online, an expert sniper named Sterben. The battle is intense and both players show off their incredible skills with guns. However, the battle takes a dark turn as Kirito starts to experience flashbacks of the traumatic events he endured in Sword Art Online.
Despite this setback, Kirito manages to use his previous experience with swords to gain an advantage in the battle and ultimately emerges victorious. With his win, Kirito earns the right to face off against Death Gun.
