Ep 2. Beater

In episode 2 of Sword Art Online season 1, titled Beater, we continue to follow Kirito as he begins his journey in the virtual world of Aincrad. After defeating the first level's boss with the help of another beta tester named Diavel, Kirito gains popularity and admiration from other players. However, his new-found fame is short-lived when he is unjustly accused of being a "beater" - a player who beta tested the game before its official release - and ostracized by the rest of the community.

Asuna dismisses Kirito's suspicions and tells him that he should join a guild to have a better chance of surviving in Aincrad.

Meanwhile, Kirito receives a message from Diavel, who asks him to meet up in a nearby town. When Kirito arrives, he discovers that Diavel has been killed by a unique monster known as The Gleam Eyes, which most players believed to be on a higher level than the first boss. The news of Diavel's death spreads quickly, and Kirito is once again accused of being a beater.

Kirito insists on clearing his name and sets out to defeat The Gleam Eyes. As he enters the boss's lair, he encounters a group of ten players from the KoB, including Asuna. The group initially refuses to let Kirito join them, but after proving his worth in battle, they reluctantly allow him to accompany them.

As the group battles The Gleam Eyes, they realize that their current strategy is ineffective and decide to follow Kirito's lead. Kirito leads them to a secret passage that he discovered during his solo play, and they use it to surprise and defeat The Gleam Eyes.

After the battle, Kirito's reputation is redeemed, and the players who had previously shunned him begin to see him in a new light. Asuna also begins to see Kirito as a reliable ally and asks him to join her for the next level's boss battle. Kirito declines, saying that he prefers to play solo, but the two make a promise to meet up again in the future.

The episode ends with Kirito reflecting on the challenges he faces in Aincrad and the bonds he has formed with other players. He realizes that he cannot survive on his own and must learn to work with others to achieve his goals.
