Kirito, who has now taken up a job as a detective, is asked to investigate the case of a player who died mysteriously in-game without any apparent cause. Accompanied by Asuna, he enters the game and meets with the victim's friends and guildmates to gather information.

After analyzing the victim's equipment and logs, Kirito suspects that the death was caused by a rare and deadly skill possessed by a certain player in the game, nicknamed "Death Gun". This skill is capable of shooting a player with a virtual bullet that can cause irreversible damage to both their avatar and physical body in real life.

To confirm his suspicions, Kirito enters a tournament where Death Gun is rumored to appear, hoping to confront and defeat him. However, as the tournament progresses, Kirito begins to realize that Death Gun may not be working alone and that more players might be involved in a deadly conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Asuna, who becomes concerned for Kirito's safety, contacts her friends in the real world to assist her in uncovering the truth behind Death Gun and his accomplices.

The episode is filled with suspense and mystery as the characters delve deeper into the dark secrets of the game and the deadly consequences of their actions. Kirito's investigation skills and combat prowess are put to the test as he takes on one of the most dangerous opponents he has ever faced.

Overall, Sword Art Online II season 2 episode 3 delivers another exciting installment to the popular anime series, building up the tension and excitement for the upcoming episodes.
