Ep 7. The Merge

The Merge is the seventh episode of the second season of the hit reality series, Survivor. In this episode, the two tribes, Pagong and Tagi, finally merge together and the remaining castaways will now live as one tribe on a new beach.

The episode opens up with the remaining castaways, who have been living on separate beaches with their respective tribes, receiving tree mail informing them that the tribes will now merge. The castaways put on their best outfits and head to the new beach where they are met with a feast. They are all very excited to finally be merging with the other tribe and have a chance to get to know the castaways they haven't had a chance to interact with yet.

The first challenge of the merged tribe involves a test of endurance. The castaways must stand on a pole in the water for as long as they can while balancing a block on their head. The last person standing wins immunity. The challenge goes on for hours and the castaways start to drop out one by one until only a few remain. In the end, one castaway manages to hold on the longest and wins immunity.

With the immunity necklace in hand, the castaway who won the challenge becomes a target. The other castaways scramble to try and figure out who to vote off. Old alliances are tested and new alliances are formed. Each castaway tries to align themselves with the person they believe has the most power in the game.

At Tribal Council, the castaways find out who will be voted off and tensions are high. The first vote is revealed and it's a tie. The castaways vote again and the person with the most votes will be sent home. In the end, one castaway is voted off and they become the first member of the jury.

After the vote, the remaining castaways head back to camp and start strategizing for the next challenge. They know that they need to stick together and work as a team if they want to make it further in the game. The episode ends with the castaways getting ready for bed, unsure of what the future holds for them in the game of Survivor.
