Sandra's Fight is the 21st episode of the fourth season of the comedy television series Superstore. The episode is directed by Betsy Thomas and written by Jonathan Green and Gabe Miller. It was aired on April 25, 2019, on NBC.
The episode revolves around Sandra, a timid and nervous employee of the Cloud 9 superstore, who is pushed too far and has had enough. She had been ridiculed by her colleagues, including Jeff, the floor supervisor who had mocked her literacy as well as her status as the only employee who is not in the company calendar, a point that had caused her much embarrassment. Dina, one of the store's assistant managers, attempts to reassure her, but she is unable to shake off the embarrassment or the humiliation.
Meanwhile, Jonah, Amy, and Garrett discover that their salaries are not equal, and the three of them decide to stage a strike. As they plan their protest, they hope to attract the other employees of the superstore to their cause. As the day progresses, they become more serious about the strike, and it threatens to spiral out of control. Jonah, who is the instigator, becomes increasingly uneasy as he realizes that he might have taken things too far.
To make matters worse, the episode also features Glenn and Jerusha's baby's christening, which results in a series of awkward interactions, particularly between Amy and Kelly.
The episode's climax features Sandra taking a stand against Jeff and all the employees who have ever mistreated her. She confronts Jeff during a humiliating lunch and publicly shames him, prompting the other employees to side with her and rally behind her. As the tension in the store builds, Dina steps in to mediate, and Glenn and Jerusha's christening ceremony takes an unexpected turn.
Overall, the episode is an enjoyable, well-paced combination of comedy and drama, featuring strong performances from the whole cast and some sharp writing from the show's writers.
