In Superstore season 4 episode 10, titled "Cloud 9 Academy," the employees of Cloud 9 are given the opportunity to take part in a new training program. The program aims to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to advance within the company.
As the episode begins, we see the employees gathering in the break room to listen to a presentation about the Cloud 9 Academy. The presenter, Myrtle, is an older woman who has worked at Cloud 9 for many years. She explains that the academy will cover a range of topics, including customer service, teamwork, and leadership.
The employees are initially skeptical about the program, but Myrtle assures them that it will be worth their time. She even offers to buy pizza for anyone who completes all of the modules.
As the first day of the academy begins, we see the employees struggling with some of the material. Dina, the store manager, is particularly frustrated with the program. She feels that she already knows everything there is to know about being a good manager, and she resents being forced to learn new things.
Jonah, on the other hand, is excited about the program. He sees it as an opportunity to improve his skills and work his way up the ladder at Cloud 9. He eagerly participates in all of the activities and even helps some of his coworkers who are struggling.
As the days go by, the employees begin to bond over the program. They sit together at lunch and discuss the modules they've completed. Even Dina begins to warm up to the program, realizing that there are some things she can learn from it.
However, not everything goes smoothly during the academy. Amy, one of the employees, is struggling with the material. She has a lot on her plate outside of work, and she's finding it hard to focus on the program. She confides in Jonah, who offers to help her catch up.
Meanwhile, Glenn, the assistant manager, is also struggling. He's been having trouble with his memory lately, and he's having a hard time keeping up with the material. He confides in Myrtle, who suggests that he take a break from the program and see a doctor.
In the end, most of the employees complete the program and receive certificates of completion. Myrtle announces that the store manager position is now open, and several of the employees express interest in applying.
Overall, "Cloud 9 Academy" is a heartwarming and often funny episode that highlights the importance of learning and growth. It's fun to see the employees working together and supporting each other, and the interactions between the characters are always entertaining.
