As the holiday season approaches, the employees of Cloud 9 find themselves busy with work and personal matters. In this episode, "Lost and Found," the store is holding a charity toy drive and all hands are on deck to ensure it's a success. However, things quickly unravel when Jonah (Ben Feldman) accidentally donates Garrett's (Colton Dunn) prized action figure collection instead of his own bag of charitable goods.
While Garrett deals with the loss of his treasured possessions, Jonah sets out to try and retrieve them. His search leads him to a thrift store where he meets a quirky worker named Cynthia (guest-star Laverne Cox). Cynthia takes a liking to Jonah and offers to help him find the missing toys. The two embark on a mini-adventure, scouring the shelves of the thrift store and chatting about life and love.
Meanwhile, back at Cloud 9, the other employees are dealing with their own trials and tribulations. Glenn (Mark McKinney) is trying to get his employees excited about the toy drive but is met with indifference, Dina (Lauren Ash) is struggling to maintain control over a group of unruly kids, and Amy (America Ferrera) is feeling overwhelmed by her responsibilities at work and at home.
As the episode progresses, the various storylines begin to intersect and the characters come to realize that they are all dealing with their own version of feeling lost and disconnected. In the end, Jonah finds the missing toys (with Cynthia's help) and delivers them back to Garrett in a heartwarming scene. The toy drive is a success, the employees come together to help each other out, and the true meaning of the holiday season is once again celebrated.
"Lost and Found" is a heartwarming episode that perfectly captures the spirit of the holiday season. The various characters and storylines all come together seamlessly, showcasing the strengths of the show's ensemble cast. The guest appearance by Laverne Cox adds a delightful touch of whimsy, and the overall message of the episode - that we are all capable of finding our way when we work together - is one that resonates long after the credits roll.
