Lois Lane is visiting a power plant to cover the reopening of the place when an accident occurs and the city's new female shock jock, Leslie Willis, is severely injured. When she wakes up from the accident, she finds herself capable of manipulating electricity. People are concerned for her, and she's frustrated with Superman, who seemingly takes all the credit for her rescue. She uses her newfound abilities to target him, and Superman is forced to use all his powers to stop her attacks. Meanwhile, Clark Kent is having trouble with a new co-worker at the Daily Planet, the overeager radio journalist Angela Chen, who also dedicates a large portion of her time to obsess over Superman. Clark tries to juggle his responsibilities both as a journalist and Superman to keep both his public and private life separate. He realizes something is going on when attacks are happening at the power plant, but since he has to appear professional in front of his co-workers and not reveal that he is Superman, he has to play it cool. When Leslie begins causing even more destruction in Metropolis, Superman has to use his wits to take her down, while Clark Kent tries to balance the friendship between Leslie and his colleague Lois Lane. But as things start to get out of hand, Superman is forced to reveal his true identity to Leslie to help her out, which sends her spiraling out of control even more. Can Superman stop her before it's too late?
