Superman: The Animated Series is an American animated television series based on the DC Comics superhero, Superman. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and originally aired on Kids' WB from September 6, 1996, to February 12, 2000. The show follows the adventures of Superman, a Kryptonian superhero who fights to protect the people of Metropolis from various threats.
In season 1 episode 12, Tools of the Trade, Superman faces off against a new villain known as John Corben, a former soldier who was badly injured during a military operation and is now seeking revenge on those who he feels betrayed him.
