Kara learns some harsh lessons about her role as Supergirl in season 2 episode 10, "We Can Be Heroes." Despite her best efforts, National City is still in danger and constantly in need of saving. However, Kara's attention is pulled away from her superhero duties when she meets a group of young people who have developed powers of their own.
These new heroes have been brought together by a mysterious tech genius named Winn and include Livewire, Psi, and Mon-El's ex-girlfriend Imra Ardeen (aka Saturn Girl). At first, Kara is hesitant to work with them, but eventually comes around to their potential as a team. She even takes them under her wing, training them to be better heroes and showing them how to work together effectively.
However, things take a turn when a rogue government agent starts hunting down these new heroes, seeing them as a threat to national security. Kara is forced to team up with Lena Luthor to try and protect the young heroes and keep them out of harm's way. They devise a plan to lure the agent away from their hideout, but it ultimately puts all of their lives in danger.
As Kara reflects on the events of the episode, she realizes that being a superhero is not just about saving people. It's also about giving others the tools and opportunities to become heroes themselves. She understands that she can't do it alone and that by helping others develop their powers, they can all work together to make National City a safer place. "We Can Be Heroes" is a powerful and emotional episode that highlights the importance of community and collaboration in the fight for justice.
