The episode begins with Chris, Joy, and Gizmo watching a news report about a pandemic affecting people all over the world. Suddenly they are transported back in time to the land of Israel, where they meet a young servant girl who has been taken from her home and is now serving Naaman's wife. The servant girl tells Chris and Joy about Naaman's illness and how her faith in God has given her hope and strength in difficult times.
As the children and Gizmo explore the area, they come across a leper colony. They meet a man who is afflicted with leprosy but is hopeful that someday he will be healed. The man tells Chris and Joy about Elisha, the prophet of God, who has the power to heal people. The children decide to seek out Elisha and find out if he can heal Naaman.
When they arrive at Elisha's home, they witness Naaman's anger at being asked to bathe in the Jordan River to be healed of his leprosy. Naaman is skeptical that such a simple act will cure him of his affliction, but his servant persuades him to give it a try. Naaman begrudgingly follows Elisha's instructions and his leprosy is completely healed.
Through this story, Chris, Joy, and Gizmo learn about the power of faith and trust in God. They witness firsthand how God works in mysterious ways to bring about healing and transformation.
