- 12 min
Super Wings season 1 episode 43, titled "Lion's Mane," follows the story of a young boy named Lenny, who idolizes his father, a firefighter. When Lenny's dad has to go away on a business trip, he asks the Super Wings to visit Lenny and keep him company while he's gone. As the Super Wings arrive, Lenny is excited to meet them but is disappointed when he discovers they're not real firefighters like his dad.
However, the Super Wings quickly charm Lenny with their unique skills, including Jett, who is a fast and nimble delivery plane, and Donnie, who is a skilled mechanic with a love for all things technology. Lenny is particularly interested in Donnie's gadgets and asks if he can help him build a robot. Donnie agrees and together they start working on Lenny's robot.
But things take an unusual turn when Lenny's pet lion cub, Simba, gets his head stuck in the robot. Lenny is terrified and doesn't know what to do. The Super Wings quickly step in to help, with Donnie using his technical skills to modify the robot and remove Simba's head from inside. But as they do so, they discover that Simba is not just any ordinary lion cub – he has a magnificent mane that glows in the dark!
Lenny is thrilled to see Simba's unique feature, but the Super Wings quickly realize that it might make him a target for poachers who would want to capture him and sell him on the black market. They decide to take Simba back to their home base, where he'll be safe from harm.
As they fly back, they encounter a group of poachers who are on the lookout for rare and exotic animals. The Super Wings must use their flying and fighting skills to protect Simba and themselves from being captured by the poachers. With their teamwork and determination, they're able to outsmart the poachers and bring Simba back to safety.
When Lenny's dad returns home, he's amazed to hear about all the adventures that his son had with the Super Wings. Lenny realizes that while he still loves his dad and his occupation as a firefighter, he also has a newfound appreciation for the unique skills that the Super Wings possess.
In the end, the Super Wings leave Lenny with a gift – a special toy robot that they had built together. Lenny is overjoyed and looks forward to continuing to build more robots and have more adventures with the Super Wings in the future.
