Ep 7. The Elves and the Shoemaker

Super Why! is an animated children's show that helps teach kids how to read. Each episode follows a group of superheroes called the "Super Readers" as they enter storybooks to help solve problems. Season 1 episode 7 is titled "The Elves and the Shoemaker".

The episode begins with the Super Readers receiving a message from a shoemaker named Stan who is in need of their help. Stan is a skilled shoemaker, but he's been struggling to make ends meet since his business isn't doing well. One night, he leaves some leather out on his workbench and goes to bed. They meet the shoemaker and his wife who are both very grateful for the elves’ help. But, they're also wondering why the elves are making their shoes. The Super Readers set out to find the elves and discover that they're hungry and cold and are making the shoes in exchange for food and warm clothing.

The group decides to help the elves by finding them some warm clothes and food, but they soon realize that there is a bigger problem. The elves don't know how to read or write which is making their lives difficult. They're struggling to understand the shoemaker's orders and are having trouble writing thank you notes for the kindness shown to them. This is where the Super Readers come in to save the day! They teach the elves how to read, and write, so they can better communicate with the shoemaker and his family.

The Super Readers also help the shoemaker by reading him a storybook about a man who gave away his riches to help others. The shoemaker takes this lesson to heart and decides to use his profits from selling shoes to help those in need. He becomes known for his generosity, and his business begins to thrive! The elves are happy since they no longer have to work every night, and everyone in the story is living happily ever after.

Overall, this episode teaches children about the importance of communication, generosity, and kindness. It's a great way to encourage kids to help others and shows them that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact.
