Super Password 84 is a classic game show that aired during the 1984-1985 television season. The show was produced by FremantleMedia North America and was hosted by the legendary Bert Convy. The show was a spin-off of the original Password game show but with a new set of rules and a new format.

The objective of the show was simple - two teams of two contestants each had to guess a secret password by giving each other one-word clues. The first team to guess the password would win a cash prize and the right to play the bonus round. In the bonus round, timed clues were given to the contestant who had correctly guessed the password to guess a series of words under a minute in order to win additional prizes.

One of the unique features of Super Password 84 was the inclusion of celebrity guests. Each team of contestants was paired with a celebrity partner who would help them guess the password. The celebrities were chosen from a variety of fields, including actors, comedians, and musicians. Some of the celebrities who appeared on the show included Betty White, Jamie Farr, Vicki Lawrence, and Marcia Wallace.

Another interesting aspect of Super Password 84 was the set design. The set was designed to resemble a giant crossword puzzle board, with each letter of the alphabet placed on individual squares. The contestants and celebrities would stand in front of the board and give their clues to each other while the letters would light up to reveal the password.

The show was notable for its fast pace and exciting gameplay. Bert Convy was an excellent host who kept the energy up and the contestants engaged. The addition of the celebrity guests added an element of fun and unpredictability to the show.

Super Password 84 was a major hit during its initial run and was a favorite among game show fans. The show proved to be so popular that it was revived several times over the years with varying degrees of success. Despite this, the original Super Password 84 remains a classic example of a well-produced game show that was both entertaining and engaging.
