The brothers and Birdo come up with a plan to destroy the force field by using an egg to blow up the castle gate.
Once inside, they face off against Koopa and his minions, who try to stop them at every turn. But Mario and Luigi, with the help of Birdo's flying abilities, are able to outsmart the evil Koopa and eventually rescue Princess Toadstool. Along the way, they even manage to uncover a cannon that Koopa intends to use to take over the entire Mushroom Kingdom.
The episode ends with Mario and Luigi triumphantly flying off into the sunset with the Princess, leaving King Koopa behind to plan his next diabolical scheme.
