The second episode of Student Council's Discretion's first season is titled "Student Council Studies." The episode begins with the student council meeting to discuss their next event, a study session for the entire school. They decide to set up a quiet area in the library where students can come and study, as well as offer tutoring services for those who may be struggling in their classes.
As the day of the study session arrives, the student council members are excited to see so many students taking advantage of the resources they have provided. However, things quickly become chaotic as the members try to assist everyone at once. One student in particular, Takatoshi Tsuda, catches the attention of the council.
Takatoshi is a new transfer student who has been struggling to keep up with his coursework. The council members take special care to assist him throughout the day, but as they learn more about his situation, they begin to worry about his wellbeing. They discover that he is working a part-time job in addition to attending school and taking care of his younger sister.
As the day comes to a close and the study session ends, the council members reflect on their experience. They realize that providing resources for the students is important, but sometimes it is necessary to go beyond that and offer emotional support as well. They decide to keep a closer eye on Takatoshi and make sure he has the help he needs to succeed.
"Student Council Studies" is an uplifting episode that emphasizes the importance of not only academic support, but also emotional support for struggling students. Through their experiences with Takatoshi, the student council members discover the true impact they can have on their fellow students and vow to continue providing the resources and support necessary for everyone to succeed.
