Ep 7. Stuck in the Mother's Day Gift

Stuck in the Middle season 1 episode 7, titled "Stuck in the Mother's Day Gift," follows the Diaz family as they prepare for Mother's Day. Harley is determined to come up with the perfect gift for her mom, but her siblings are too busy with their own plans to help her. Harley decides to go it alone and comes up with a plan to make a video tribute to her mom, highlighting all the ways she's made their lives better. She enlists the help of Rachel and Lewie to make the video, and spends the day gathering footage of her mom doing everything from cooking dinner to kissing scraped knees.

Meanwhile, Tom and Suzy are struggling to find the perfect gift for each other. Tom is convinced that Suzy wants a fancy piece of jewelry, while Suzy is hoping for a romantic dinner out. They both end up disappointed when they exchange gifts and find that neither one is what they were hoping for. Rachel comes to the rescue by suggesting that they combine both gifts and have a romantic dinner out, wearing the new jewelry. Tom and Suzy are thrilled with the idea and head out for a night on the town.

Back at the Diaz house, Harley is putting the finishing touches on her video when her mom walks in. She's nervous about showing the video to her mom, but when she finally hits play, her mom is overwhelmed with emotion. She hugs Harley tightly and tells her how much the video means to her. Harley is relieved and thrilled that her plan worked out, and the rest of the family gathers around to watch the video together.

As the episode ends, the Diaz family has come together to celebrate their mom and the love she brings into their lives. They realize that sometimes the best gifts are the ones that come from the heart, and that it's the thought that counts. They all share a group hug as the camera fades to black, and the credits roll.
