Strike Back season 1 episode 7 is an action-packed episode filled with a lot of twists and turns. In this episode, we get to see the team at Section 20 going on a mission to stop an extremist group from detonating a nuclear bomb. The group is led by Latif, an extremely dangerous man, who has been eluding the team for quite some time.
The team, comprising of Sergeant Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) and Sergeant Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), are on a mission to recover the nuclear device before it's too late. They are joined by a former MI6 agent, John Allen (Adrian Rawlins), who has valuable information about the extremist group's activities.
As they move towards their destination, they face a lot of obstacles, including a booby-trapped bridge that explodes as they cross it. The team is forced to split up, with Stonebridge and Scott heading towards the site of the nuclear device, while John Allen stays behind to provide backup.
Stonebridge and Scott finally reach the location of the device, but they are betrayed by a local informant who reveals their location to Latif's men. The two are forced to fight off multiple attackers, and Scott is injured in the process. Stonebridge is left to continue the mission alone while Scott recuperates.
Stonebridge's encounter with Latif's men leads him to a warehouse where he finally finds the nuclear device. He also comes face to face with Latif, and the two engage in a brutal fight. Stonebridge finally manages to overpower Latif and recovers the nuclear device, but he is badly injured in the process.
Meanwhile, back at the base, tension is high as John Allen tries to calm down a panicked Lieutenant Colonel Grant (Amanda Mealing). He engages in a heated argument with Grant, but eventually manages to make her see reason and come up with a plan to rescue Stonebridge.
The episode ends with Stonebridge being rescued and taken back to base, where he is treated for his injuries. The team has successfully stopped Latif's group from detonating the nuclear device, but there is still a lot of work to be done to take down the extremist group once and for all.
