As the plot of Stranger Things season 2 thickens, we are consistently introduced to newer and darker aspects of the Upside-Down. The seventh episode for the series, titled 'Chapter Fifteen: The Secret Cabin,' follows a similar narrative where the group of friends is seen preparing for a battle against the Mind Flayer.
Mike is particularly troubled by the recent happenings, and feels anxious about the possibility of losing Eleven forever. While Will experiences severe physical discomfort and faints, Nancy and Jonathan team up to expose the miscreant activities of the Hawkins lab, with the aim to seek justice for Barb.
The episode intensely focusses on the group's efforts to pin down the location of the Shadow Monster. They eventually discover that all the holes that lead to the other realm exist within very close proximity to each other. They speculate that if they can close one of these gates, the main one would implode, thereby rendering the Shadow Monster powerless, who otherwise is controlling the Demogorgons.
Amidst their speculations and mission, Steve, Dustin, and Max team up to intercept Billy and deter him from disturbing their progress. Billy is seen crossing his limits by bullying Steve, and openly expressing his disapproval for the friendship between MadMax and the rest of the group.
As Billy remains a source of disturbance for the group, Eleven takes over and traces her way back to the cabin that Kali, her 'sister,' took her to earlier. In doing so, she is able to connect with her mother and solicit valuable assistance in tackling the Shadow Monster.
Despite the complexity of its plot and the persisting air of ambiguity, Stranger Things season 2 remains an exciting and exhilarating series. 'Chapter Fifteen: The Secret Cabin,' is an intense and gripping episode that sees the group of friends come together and take brave risks to save their town from the shadowy forces that lurk around every corner.
