Strain: Strategic Armored Infantry is a thrilling anime series from FUNimation that premiered in 2006 and ran for 13 episodes until 2007. The story of Strain: Strategic Armored Infantry is set in the distant future, where humanity has colonized the universe and lives on different planets. Due to the vast distances between these planets, they are connected by a network of subspace gates that allow for faster-than-light travel. However, the gates are not without their dangers, as some planets are plagued by a mysterious virus that can infect humans and turn them into monsters known as Infection Beasts.

To counter this threat, the Strategic Armored Infantry, or SAI, is formed. The SAI is a group of elite soldiers who are trained to pilot giant robots called MACHINES that are specifically designed to fight the Infection Beasts. The series follows the story of three young soldiers
