In Storage Hunters season 5 episode 5 titled "Too Hot!", the cast of the show travels to the desert in search of valuable auctioned items. The episode begins with Brandon Bernier and his wife Lori, eagerly waiting for the bidding to start. They are convinced that they will be able to find hidden treasures and earn big profits.
As the auction begins, the bidders quickly realize that the heat is too much to bear. With temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, everyone is struggling to find ways to stay cool. Despite the heat, the competition is fierce, and Brandon and Lori are determined to come out on top.
In one of the units, they discover a valuable coin collection, which they are certain will be worth a fortune. However, as they dig deeper, they find that the coins are not as valuable as they initially thought. Disappointed, they move on to the next unit, hoping to find something better.
Meanwhile, the other bidders are also on the lookout for valuable items. Jesse McClure, who is known for his aggressive bidding style, is determined to win every unit at the auction. But his strategy backfires when he ends up overpaying for a unit that turns out to be empty.
Traci Bryant, another bidder, seems to have the Midas touch when it comes to finding valuable items. She discovers a vintage motorcycle that she estimates could fetch a high price at auction. But her excitement is short-lived when she realizes that the bike is in terrible condition, and would require extensive repairs.
At the end of the day, with the heat taking its toll on everyone, the bidders return home with mixed results. Brandon and Lori are disappointed with their winnings, having failed to find any hidden treasures. Traci, on the other hand, is pleased with her find, despite the repairs that need to be made.
